Marie-Louise Jacques, MD, MBA, has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who. A dual French-American citizen and trilingual (English, French and German) executive, Dr. Jacques has led international research and development organizations across Europe and the United States, bringing more than 13 new chemical entities (NCEs) to global regulatory approval. Her career spans multiple therapeutic areas, including opthamology, cardiovascular/metabolic diseasy, neurology/pain and critical care, culminating in a distinguished track record of clinical, regulatory and strategic leadership.

Dr. Jacques is the founder and chief executive officer of Pharma Biotech Consultants LLC, a New Jersey-based advisory firm she established in 2012, dedicated to helping companies navigate early clinical strategy through post-submission market access, with a particular focus on opthamology, oncology and pharmaeconomics.

Dr. Jacques' international career includes several pivotal leadership roles. As the head of international clinical research and development for the ophthalmic division at Novartis, Zurich, she oversaw the global registration of breakthrough treatments such as Visudyne®, Zaditor® and Rescula®. Her efforts contributed to a 75% revenue increase for the division. At Allergan Inc., Irvine, Dr. Jacques served as the vice president and therapeutic area head of opthamology. In this capacity, she led cross regional product development, resulting in global approval for products including Ganfort®, Combigan® and Ozurdex®. Finally, as the senior vice president and chief medical officer of the opthamology division at Sanofi, Paris, she helped shape the newly created unit's strategic roadmap and advanced multiple development programs.

Dr. Jacques has also played strategic roles at Biovail, Boston Life Sciences, Air Liquide Santé, and Glaxo, overseeing clinical development, licensing, regulatory affairs and lifecycle strategy across five continents. Her work has consistently bridged scientific rigor with commercial foresight, resulting in expanded labels, successful global launches and increased therapeutic access for patients worldwide.

Dr. Jacques holds a Doctor of Medicine, graduating with distinction from the Catholic University of Louvain. She has also completed postgraduate training at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. Finally, she earned a Master of Business Administration from New York University, completing her studies while simultaneously contributing to venture capital and biotech strategy in New York.

Beyond science, Dr. Jacques is passionate about writing and leadership education. Her upcoming book blends her personal and professional journey with broader reflections on identify, ambition and navigating uncertainty in complex times.

Committed to giving back, Dr. Jacques actively supports youth education through her work with WISE (Working in Support of Education) in New York City and engages with global professional networks, including the Worldwide Women's Association.
